Shayna Steele is a professional jazz vocalist, bandleader, and recording artist whose work spans all stages, big and small and the recording studio. She has performed with symphony orchestras and big bands in the U.S. and abroad, with credits ranging from live performance to studio and screen. Shayna has over 30 years of professional experience and holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Music Studies from Berklee College of Music (Summa Cum Laude) 

After a vocal injury in 2003, her teaching is grounded in technique,vocal health and a solid vocal routine--when the foundation is built and becomes second-hand, the focus can be dedicated solely to always having a strong performance.  She studied with renowned voice specialist Joan Lader for over 20 years and currently trains classically with Deric Rosenblatt, creator of Vocal Power LLC, and has worked alongside some of the music industry's top vocal coaches and vocal producers. Shayna is currently studying for her certification specializing in vocal pedagogy, which she will receive in December of 2026. That foundation shapes how she approaches breath, tone, technique, and interpretation and brings that to each of her students. Individually crafted to each students unique situation, Shayna will prepare you for anything you might have on your plate: the theatre audition, the studio session or just creating a consistent vocal practice that keeps a singer healthy for the long run. 

Her virtual studio brings that professional ear into your living room. Lessons are engineered for real sound quality, so the work goes deep whether you're building fundamentals or refining the professional singer.  You'll study with someone who does this for a living and is up-to-date on the most current practices within the professional world of the music industry.

After a successful run of her Booked! Intensive (c. 2004) Shayna's passion for helping others navigate their own music careers has become a mission. Her years of experience on touring, touring as a parent, making and releasing albums independently, budgeting and finding the right team of people is something she finds valuable information that she no longer wants to gate keep. She will share with you what mistakes you are making that are costing you time and money,  and help you create a unique plan that will point you in the right direction.
